Welcome
Thank you for your interest in yoga. I hope that you are looking forward to your first class & feeling the benefits of dedicating just one hour of your day to yourself.
‘Me Time’ is something we all see as precious yet it is the first thing to get deleted from our calendars when, as it always does, life gets in the way.
Make your yoga practise a regular appointment with yourself & see how the rest of your life benefits.
What to expect
Everyone can do yoga! In the beginning the postures may feel more difficult than they look & you may be a little stiff for a couple of days after practice as you will have used different muscles. However, stamina, strength & flexibility will improve more quickly than you might at first think.
Just keep in mind that you don’t have to learn everything at once – within the science of yoga there is more than a lifetime’s worth of learning. Each class will recap on things you have learnt before whilst also introducing new postures & techniques to keep you challenged.
Just
be
YOU
YOUR practice
This is your practice – work at your own pace within your own capabilities.
Please try not to compare yourself with anyone in the room & try hard not to compete with yourself.
You may find something easy one week & challenging the next just note the difference and don’t judge yourself. Leave your ambition at the door – there is no such thing as a perfect posture so listen to your own body and feel what it needs.

What to wear/bring
Yourself with an open mind and heart
Yoga Mat ~ If you have a Yoga Mat please bring that but if you don’t have one yet, that’s fine I have spares with me but do let me know when you book if you don’t have a Mat
Wear what ever you feel comfortable in (PJs are good!!). My rule of thumb is anything I can move around comfortably in without popping out!
- Phone ~ Please make sure your phone is turned off ~ this is your time
- Getting here ~ Arrive in good time to start the class
- Safety ~ on the mat, remove shoes and socks so you don’t slip
